Christina Maria Aguilera was born December 18, 1980) inStaten Island, New York. She is an American pop singer, songwriter and record producer. Christina is a Spinto Soprano, known for her strong vocals and powerful voice.


Christina was signed to RCA Records after recording Reflection for the film Mulan. She came to fame following her debut album Christina Aguilera, which was a critical and commercial success.
According to both Christina and Fidler, her father was too controlling, as well as physically and emotionally abusive which Christina later wrote about in "I'm OK" in Stripped, and "Oh Mother" in Back to Basics.
In 2007, Christina officially confirmed her pregnancy in an interview with Glamour magazine.
